Falcon has developed the Falcon Angel Fryer, incorporating the very latest oil level sensing technology to prevent fires and flare-ups and giving operators peace of mind and security.
What is it?
The Falcon Angel Fryer is a patented sensor for detecting low oil levels in commercial foodservice equipment fryers. The sensor technology detects low oil levels and turns off the power supply to the fryer, thereby reducing the risk of a fire or the discharge of the kitchen's fire suppression system.
The Falcon Angel Fryer raises the standard of safety and fire prevention of commercial fryers to a whole new level, making it a must-have for any professional kitchen. It takes safety out of the hands of the operator, automatically putting the appliance out of operation if the oil level falls to a potentially dangerous level.
How Does It Work?
There's a sensor placed within the pan, surrounded by a protective guard (which can be moved for cleaning but is not removable from the sensor). When the oil level reaches the top of the sensor, the top up oil warning light illuminates, alerting the user that they need to top the oil up. If the oil level continues to drop to a potentially dangerous level, energy is cut to the unit immediately, with the user being alerted via a loud audible alarm and a flashing red warning light. The fryer is then out of service until the pan contains sufficient oil.

The Falcon Angel Fryer has been externally validated by KIWA, an independent world-leading testing, inspection and certification body.
A KIWA spokesperson said: "We subjected the Falcon Angel Fryer to extensive functional testing including physical abuse tests, worst-case scenarios of batter encroachment on the sensor, and accelerated ageing tests. The functionality of the final sensor system was maintained under all test-conditions, and it is our opinion that the sensor will prevent burner ignition sequence activation under low oil level occurrences. This will in turn prevent pan fires occurring due to ignition with low oil"
The technology has also been independently verified & approved by BSI - the UK’s approval body.
